Senior Property Accountant

As the Senior Property Accountant your focus is managing multiple real estate portfolios, overseeing all accounting functions, and leading the team responsible for their operations. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance.

Your responsibilities entail directing diverse real estate portfolios, guiding accounting functions, and expanding the team to meet growing demands. Implementing streamlined workflows and operational efficiencies that will optimize our processes and enhance overall effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for private entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support real estate asset management decisions and strategies.
  • Oversee tenant tax and CAM reconciliations, invoicing, and variance analysis to meet lease obligations.
  • Develop daily, monthly, and annual cash flows, and property business plans.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with senior management and the Board of Trustees/Directors.
  • Analyze business opportunities and define project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA designation preferred
  • Extensive experience in real estate financial reporting, real estate finance, and accounting
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive results and manage diverse responsibilities
  • Strong communication, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel
